The Friends of Lochalsh Leisure Centre has been established to amplify the Centre's fundraising impact. We're here to offer guidance and support to any local groups or individuals keen to fundraise for this essential community asset.
The Lochalsh Leisure Centre plays a crucial role in our community. It's not only where our children learn to swim, but also a vibrant hub where people connect and stay active. We understand the challenges: swimming pools are costly to operate and maintain. Having experienced closures in the past, we know how vital it is to sustain continuous fundraising and ensure the Centre's future. Join us in supporting this cornerstone of our community.
Our Aims
To raise funds for Lochalsh Leisure Centre to encourage public interest in the upkeep and continuity of LLC and to advance the public's awareness of the facilities offered, by fundraising & promoting LLC facilities for the benefit of community groups and visitors to the area.
Objectives
Promote the activities of FOLLC as a fundraising group.
Represent the aims of the FOLLC when communicating with other potential fundraisers & the LLC, other interested groups and fundraisers to achieve the FOLLC vision to aid LLC.
Health and well-being
Promote health and well-being of residents and visitors through encouragement of the use of LLC and aiding to keep open and an up to date amenity and recreational area.
Membership
The FOLLC shall be voluntary & totally self-supporting group of members from the local community.
