Friends of Lochalsh Leisure Centre

We are a group that has been set up to assist in raising Lochalsh Leisure Centre’s fundraising profile. Any local groups or individuals wishing to fundraise can do so with the help and support of the group. It's a great way to support the Leisure Centre. Our story

The Lochalsh Leisure Centre plays a crucial role in our community. It's not only where our children learn to swim, but also a vibrant hub where people connect and stay active. We understand the challenges: swimming pools are costly to operate and maintain. Having experienced closures in the past, we know how vital it is to sustain continuous fundraising and ensure the Centre's future. Join us in supporting this cornerstone of our community!
12 Dooks for Xmas
04 Jan 2026

Following the success of the 12 dooks for Xmas we are pleased to announce that a grand total, including gift aid of £10,364.65 has been raised.

This is fantastic and means the leisure centre can now order and install much needed lockers at the centre.

We would like to thank everyone that has contributed the last few months to the fundraiser.

The silent auction really kick-started things and then all the swimmers that took part in the 12 dooks gave it the final push it needed. The just giving pages will close at the end of the week to allow funds to be passed over to the centre. Links below

Replace the lockers fundraiser for Lochalsh and Skye Swimming Pool Association
05 Aug 2025
This year has been a challenging one for the Lochalsh Leisure Centre, but together we can turn things around! While previous fundraising efforts have successfully reopened the facility, there is still much work to be done. Many of you may have noticed that a significant number of lockers are currently out of use. Unfortunately, these lockers can no longer be repaired and need to be replaced. We believe that every community deserves access to quality recreational facilities, and with your help, we can make this a reality. We invite everyone to consider hosting fundraisers or contributing in any way possible so we can continue to support the centre and enhance our community's well-being.
